The first season of Amazon's science fiction comedy "Upload" launched on Prime Video on May 1, 2020. After that, it was quiet for a long time about the satirically tinged series by The Office creator Greg Daniels. Now Amazon delivers the trailer for the second season.

Upload: Into the afterlife with VR goggles

Upload is ideal for a binge-watch weekend with its total running time of just under five hours. In the ten episodes of the first season, we experience how the self-absorbed programmer Nathan passes away after an accident with his autonomous car and has his consciousness uploaded to an artificially generated virtual afterlife.

There he should enjoy his passing until his girlfriend Ingrid (Allegra Edwards) eventually follows. But while Nathan tries to settle into the virtual world drenched in advertising and in-app purchases, he meets Nora.

The "customer service representative" logs into the virtual afterlife "Lakeview" via a VR headset and helps Nathan restore his damaged memories. It doesn't take long for the former playboy to develop feelings for the gentle and helpful Nora.

Upload Season 2 starts in March

In season two, Nathan's girlfriend Ingrid pays Lakeview a visit. She wants to save the relationship with her deceased friend. But he is increasingly drawn to Nora.

She, in turn, joins a movement called "The Ludds" and wants to ensure that the Upload program is no longer reserved for the super-rich. The second season of Upload launches on Amazon Prime Video on March 11, 2022, and can be accessed at no additional cost to subscribers of the streaming service.
