Walkabout Mini Golf DLC lets you putt between pyramids

The DLC "Temple at Zerzura" takes you between pyramids and dunes on a Walkabout Mini Golf trip to the Sahara.

On April 20, the Walkabout Mini Golf DLC course "Temple at Zerzura" releases for $3.99. Its Egyptian theme is all about the Sahara, ancient structures, and their myths. A post from the official Twitter account is short and sweet, teasing the new mini-golf course for the VR game:

"The ultimate sand trap - the Sahara desert - recedes after a thousand years, revealing a mini-golf course fit for an Egyptian king and queen! Putt through the dunes, vast throne room, and great pyramids as you search for clues and lost balls within the forgotten temple."

The brightly colored DLC course is being created in collaboration with the American artist collective Meow Wolf.

Egyptian minigolf in VR

After the twisted DLC course "Upside Town" with its surreal gravity and perspective tricks, "Temple at Zerzura" feels more classic. Many physical minigolf courses feature similarly themed holes. However, there will probably be more surprises in the virtual pyramids.

This DLC sets the tone for the future. After the team successfully worked with iconic movie and game licenses like Myst or Jim Henson's Labyrinth, future courses should be more reminiscent of real-life scenarios, creator Lucas Martell told UploadVR.

Walkabout Mini Golf already ensures cozy online evenings with friends on many different VR headsets, where gaming almost becomes a secondary matter. The VR game is available for Meta Quest, PC VR headsets, and Pico headsets. A conversion for the Playstation VR 2 is to follow soon. In addition, the title will soon also become an AR game for iOS.
