Every year, Valve publishes a “Best of 2023” list with categories such as Top Sellers, New Releases, Most Played and Virtual Reality.
Here are the top 50 SteamVR games of 2023 by gross revenue.

Other interesting facts:
- There is not a single VR exclusive game among Steam's top sellers (all games, not just VR), but several titles with an optional VR mode such as No Man's Sky, Phasmophobia, and Microsoft Flight Simulator.
- VRChat can be found under “Most Played” in the category “over 40,000 peak players”, but keep in mind that the app is also accessible without a VR headset.
- Gorilla Tag can be found in the Silver tier under “Early Access”.
The list is based on gross revenue. Valve looked at data from January 1st, 2023 through December 15th, 2023.
Valve does not disclose revenue specifics sales and instead divides the VR titles into three tiers: Platinum, Gold and Silver. I have sorted the VR games alphabetically, as Valve's list does not provide a ranking within the three categories.
The list is limited to VR-exclusive games and dedicated VR ports, such as Skyrim VR. Games that support both virtual reality and monitors are not included.
