Snap Specs cost $2,195, or $2,395 with a cellular case, and Verizon data starts at $10 a month
Snap Specs cost $2,195 in the US, and Snap now has an answer for anyone who wants them online without a phone in their pocket. Snap says a Specs Connected Case bundle will cost $2,395, with cellular data plans from $10 a month for Verizon customers and from $20 a month for everyone else.

The details came with Snap's Specs event on September 16. Pre-orders run through specs.com with a $200 refundable deposit, and shipping "is expected to begin later this fall in the United States, United Kingdom, and France."
The case adds four charges and its own data
Snap describes the Connected Case as a charging case that "provides four additional charges and offers cellular connectivity." Snap says the case is sold separately but has not given a standalone price for it. The bundle costs $200 more than the glasses alone, and the data plan comes on top.
The data plans are sold as Verizon Connected Wearable plans in the US. Snap says Verizon will also offer eligible customers financing, including a 36-month payment plan, and describes the partnership as a way to make Specs easier to "try, buy, and stay connected".
Europe gets carriers but no numbers yet. Snap names Orange in France and EE in the UK as partners and says data plans will come "through the respective carrier partners", without prices for the plans or for the glasses in pounds or euros.
For comparison, Apple Vision Pro launched at $3,499 in the US, while Meta's AI glasses from June start at $299. Specs sit between the two, much closer to the headset end, and Verizon's 36-month payment plan suggests Snap knows it.

Los Angeles gets the first demos on October 1
People who want to see Specs before paying will have one fixed place to start. According to Snap, "Beginning October 1, the SPECS First Look will be available at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles."
Snap has not given an exact shipping date beyond "later this fall", and it has published no sales or pre-order numbers. The price itself is not a surprise: it matches the $2,195 figure that came up in June, when Snap was reported to be courting Robert Downey Jr. for its marketing.
On the display side, Snap's own description is that the virtual screen "feels like a 115-inch cinema screen placed about 10 feet away". A Travel Mode "keeps the screen stable even on a moving train or flight", and Snap says live translation supports 60 languages.
Harry Potter, Spotify and the NBA fill out the app line-up
A $2,195 pair of glasses needs something to do, and Snap's announcement lists its first partners. With HBO Max, Snap is "bringing the world of Harry Potter to SPECS AR glasses in celebration of the new HBO Original Series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, premiering this Christmas." The date belongs to the TV series; Snap gives none for the Harry Potter Lens itself, which lets you receive a Hogwarts acceptance letter, choose a wand and cast spells.
Spotify integration is meant to "provide the right soundtrack for whatever you're doing", while the Specs browser streams from YouTube and HBO Max. Tripadvisor finds nearby restaurants and landmarks, and the Shopify Catalog lets you place 3D products at full scale in the room.
Some partners are further out. Snap says it is "building" interactive basketball experiences with the NBA and WNBA to help fans practise, with no date, and ALO Wellness Club arrives "next year". A golf coaching feature was developed with guidance from PGA Professionals.
Snap has not published battery life, weight or field of view in its announcement. Until the October 1 demos and the first shipments, the price and the app list are the firm facts, and the rest is Snap's description.
