Meta Lab opens its first Arizona and Georgia stores, and a second in New York

Meta has three more Meta Lab shops open, including its first in Arizona and its first in Georgia, and its second in New York City. In an update headed October 8, 2026, Meta's own running post about the format says only that "this week we've just opened three new expansive locations", and gives no opening date for any of the three.

Meta Lab is Meta's own retail format, a shop built to let people try the wearables rather than to shift boxes of them. Each of the three demonstrates what Meta calls "our entire AI glasses portfolio including Meta Glasses, Ray-Ban Meta, Meta Ray-Ban Display, Oakley Meta HSTN, and Oakley Meta Vanguard", alongside a Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S demo.

The three addresses, with their hours

  • Scottsdale, Arizona. Scottsdale Fashion Square, 7014 E Camelback Rd. Open 10am to 8pm MT Monday to Thursday, 10am to 9pm Friday and Saturday, and 10am to 6pm Sunday. Meta calls it "Arizona's first Meta Lab".
  • New York City. Moynihan Train Hall, 372 9th Ave., Space #124. Open 11am to 7pm ET Monday to Saturday and 11am to 6pm Sunday. Meta says it "joins the Fifth Avenue flagship, bringing hands-on demos to one of the city's busiest transit hubs".
  • Atlanta, Georgia. Lenox Square, 3393 Peachtree Rd. NE. Open 10am to 8pm ET Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 7pm Sunday. Meta calls it "Georgia's first Meta Lab".

The format has been growing since late 2025

The three join a line of shops Meta has been opening since November 2025, when it put a pop-up into 697 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, followed by a boutique at the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu that December. Meta signed a 10-year lease with Vornado Realty Trust in March 2026 to make the Fifth Avenue pop-up permanent. Since then it has opened a Texas shop at The Galleria in Houston, 5085 Westheimer Road, and a Waikīkī flagship at 2220 Kalākaua Avenue that trades 10am to 7pm daily.

The closest Meta has come to a result is a line from that March announcement, where Matt Jacobson, its VP and Creative Director for wearables, said the company's "people-first approach to experiential retail is rooted in culture, creativity, and self-expression". He credited it with "meaningful sales and awareness of our AI wearables" and attached no figure.

Why a shop rather than a web page

For most of the line a demo is a convenience. For Meta Ray-Ban Display it is closer to a requirement, because the glasses are sold with a wrist-worn controller that comes in sizes, and Meta has been shipping a sizing tool so buyers can measure a Neural Band at home rather than book a fitting appointment.

Rivals are arriving at the same answer. Snap opened its own Specs pop-up in Los Angeles on October 2, where a $200 deposit is not an order confirmation. Everything Meta puts in front of a visitor in the three new shops is hardware it sells now, down to the Quest headsets.
