Demeo Battles is a PVP spin-off of the tabletop role-playing game Demeo, which was first released for VR headsets and later as a flat version for PC.

Instead of exploring dungeons and killing monsters cooperatively, Demeo Battles pits you against each other. You can either play alone and control two heroes (1v1 mode) or play in pairs against another team of two (2v2 mode).

Experience Demeo in a new way

Unlike Demeo, this turn-based game is designed for short matches of about 20 minutes, so it can be played in between and during breaks.

You choose your hero from the familiar seven classes (Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Hunter, Bard, Warlock, and Barbarian) and a group of monsters to aid you in battle. Demeo Battles features 37 different companions to choose from and 89 abilities, including many combat skills and spells.

Unlike Demeo, the field narrows as lava flows in from the edge, intensifying the fight over time and forcing a decision in battle.

Demeo Battles is coming soon

Only the flat PC version of Demeo Battles is playable as part of the Steam Next Fest, which runs from October 9-16 and allows you to try many VR games for free. Also, only two of the ten PVP maps and three of the seven hero classes are unlocked in the PC demo.

Fans won't have to wait much longer, though: The full version of Demeo Battles will be released on November 9th for Meta Quest as well as on Steam for PC VR compatible headsets. The same goes for the flat PC version. The game will cost $20. If you can't find any friends to play with, you can also take on 40 single-player challenges.

You can try out Demeo Battles on Steam right now.
