Capcom's Ace Attorney reaches VR in 2027, and you shout your objections out loud
Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies VR is coming to the Meta Horizon Store in 2027, and AMATA K.K. says you present evidence with your hands and shout "OBJECTION" at the witness with your voice. It is the first time Capcom's courtroom series has appeared in VR, and AMATA is developing and publishing it under licence from Capcom.

The source game is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, a Nintendo 3DS release from 2013 and the fifth mainline entry in the series. AMATA names Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes as the lawyers you play.
Controllers survive Meta's hands-only keynote
Meta spent Connect 2026 selling games you play without holding anything, from more than 75 hand-gesture games at the launch of Meta VR Glasses to a controller-free Beat Saber in spring 2027. AMATA has gone the other way and kept both options open: the game is "fully playable with controllers", with the voice-activated objection and hand-tracked gestures offered as the louder alternative. Meta's store page says the same, naming voice, controllers and hands.
A courtroom story told across several episodic cases is a long time to hold your arms up, and AMATA has left the choice with the player.
The investigation moves into first person
AMATA says crime scenes are explored from every angle in first person, with evidence picked up and examined by hand rather than tapped on a screen. The job is the one the series has always set: spot the contradiction, then prove it.
The story is the one 3DS owners already know. Phoenix Wright returns to the bar after eight years away, and he, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes work against what the game calls the Dark Age of the Law, a period in which winning counts for more than the truth.
AMATA lists Quest 2 and Quest Pro as well
AMATA's own product page names Meta VR Glasses, Quest 3 and 3S, Quest Pro and Quest 2 as supported headsets. Meta's announcement names only Meta VR Glasses and Quest 3 and 3S, so anyone still on a Quest 2 should read AMATA's list as the developer's intention for a game more than a year out, not a settled spec.
Reaching down that far is unusual for this year's crop. Two Point Hospital's mixed reality edition also goes to Quest 2, and most of the rest of the games Meta announced at Connect stop at Quest 3 and Quest 3S, Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities among them.
The rest of what AMATA has published is housekeeping: sitting, standing and room-scale play, an IARC 12+ rating with a horror content warning, single player, and seven languages including English, Japanese, French, German, Korean and both Chinese scripts.
The price is to be announced, the release is 2027 with no month, and the Meta Horizon Store is the only shop AMATA lists.
