Meta VR Glasses get 75+ hand-gesture games at launch, and the whole Quest catalogue
Meta says more than 75 games will be playable on Meta VR Glasses using hand gestures alone, and that the entire Meta Quest catalogue comes across with them. Neither is anything you can buy into yet: Meta says the glasses go on sale in spring 2027 for $1,299.99 in the US.

The hands-only figure comes from Meta's announcement post, which promises "more than 75 games at launch that you can play solely with hand gestures". Meta says you use your eyes and hand gestures to play a movie, open an app or search on the glasses, and sums that up in three words: "No controllers needed."
The titles named so far lean towards puzzles and simulation. Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities, the cosy plant puzzler Dragon Grove and a VR version of Two Point Hospital are all described as playable without controllers on the glasses, and Beat Saber is adding a hand-tracked mode of its own.
Touch Plus controllers carry the back catalogue
The larger claim is about games you may own now. Meta promises "full access to the entire Meta Quest catalog of thousands of titles, and full compatibility with Touch Plus controllers", and its Connect games round-up says every Quest game will be playable on Meta VR Glasses with Touch Plus controllers.
Touch Plus is the controller that ships with Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S, so anyone who owns a Quest keeps both the library and the input they learned it on. Meta has not said whether a pair of controllers comes with the glasses or has to be bought separately.
Xbox Cloud Gaming needs a Bluetooth gamepad
Flat games get their own route in. Meta says Xbox Cloud Gaming will stream hundreds of titles to the glasses once you connect a Bluetooth gamepad, and that a handheld console can be attached wirelessly or over USB-C and played on a big virtual screen.
Cloud gaming on Meta hardware is not new, and Meta Horizon+ subscribers picked up a starter edition of Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost in July. Which Xbox tier the glasses will need is not something Meta has spelled out.
The Qualcomm chip has been public since June
Meta says the glasses run Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Reality Elite. Qualcomm announced that platform on June 16, 2026 at Augmented World Expo, three months before Connect, and lists up to 48 TOPS of AI processing, up to 60% more GPU performance, 30% more CPU and 160% more NPU than Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2.
Qualcomm also says the platform supports up to 4.4K per eye at 90 frames per second. Those are ceilings for the chip and not figures for Meta's device: Meta has given the glasses a 5K micro-OLED display at 37 pixels per degree, and has published no refresh rate and no field of view. Qualcomm names Xreal's Project Aura as the first product on the platform, with a Play For Dream device to follow.
Hand tracking has sat alongside the controllers on Quest for years, as our 2024 experiment with hand tracking on Quest 3 set out. On Meta VR Glasses Meta is making it the default, and both the 75 games and the $1,299.99 device are a spring 2027 proposition.
