VR hit Vertigo 2: Release on PSVR 2 delayed

Update: Perp Games has to postpone the release of Vertigo 2 on PSVR 2 for "a few days" due to a bug. The exact date will be announced as soon as possible.

Perp Games and Zulubo Productions have announced the digital release date for Vertigo 2. The single-player VR adventure game will be available on Playstation VR 2 from 12th December 2023, with physical copies hitting retail stores on 9th February. Vertigo 2 places players deep underground in Quantum Reactor VII, where they face alien flora, fauna, and deadly android security forces. The game boasts a diverse range of environments, numerous creatures, robots, and intense boss fights.

Resident Evil Village has won the award for Best VR Game at The Game Awards 2023

Resident Evil Village VR won the award for Best VR/AR Game at The Game Awards, beating out Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Call of the Mountain, Humanity and Synapse. Capcom introduced the VR mode for Resident Evil Village on PSVR 2 as a free update earlier this year. This victory precedes Capcom's release of the VR mode for Resident Evil 4 Remake, which will be released today.

Quest 3: VR fitness app Les Mills XR Dance hits the dancefloor next week

Les Mills XR Dance, a new VR fitness app featuring over 45 songs and 25 dance routines, is set to launch on Meta Quest 3 next week. The program is a collaboration between Odders Lab, the developer of Les Mills Bodycombat, and EDM record label Monstercat. Choreographed to different music styles and three difficulty levels, the program will be presented by five official Les Mills Dance presenters. The game will support both full VR and mixed reality environments. Les Mills XR Dance will be available on the Meta Quest VR headsets on December 14th for $29.99, with a 20% discount for pre-orders.

Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Quest 3 Update is coming next month

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners will receive its Quest 3 upgrade on January 16, 2024. Skydance Interactive announced the enhanced version of the game in June, originally targeting a fall 2023 release. The update will include improved textures, new effects, improved lighting with dynamic shadows, and an increased number of zombies in open areas. The game's Quest 3 upgrade was first revealed during the Meta Connect 2023 keynote.

Playtest for VR multiplayer Mannequin announced

Oskar Burman, CEO of Fast Travel Games, has announced a third playtest for the upcoming multiplayer VR game Mannequin. The closed test, open to a limited number of players, will take place on Friday, December 8th. VR superhero simulator Project Demigod to be released in 2024

Omnifarious Studios and Fast Travel Games have released a new trailer for their superhero simulator VR game Project Demigod at the UploadVR VR Gaming Showcase. The VR game allows players to choose their own powers and engage in epic battles against evil forces. Project Demigod is currently available on Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro via App Lab and for PC VR via Steam Early Access.
