Vampire: The Masquerade - Justice is coming to Steam on February 6th

Vampire: The Masquerade - Justice is one of the best VR games of 2023 and will be released on Steam on February 6. The studio promises "updated visuals and performance" on PC VR headsets. Fast Travel Games describes the game as follows: "The game sees players set out to uncover the mystery behind their sire's murder and reclaim a stolen relic in the dark underbelly of Venice, Italy. Playing as Justice, a vampire of the Banu Haqim clan, players follow a gritty main narrative, using special powers known as Disciplines to deceive and eliminate guards and engage in unique dialogue options to track down the culprits."

Vertigo 2 is finally coming to PSVR 2 on January 15th

After several delays, publisher Perp Games has announced a new release date for Vertigo 2: The game, considered one of the best VR titles of 2023, will be released on January 15, 2024 for Playstation VR 2. "In this homage to Half-Life, there's no crafting or waymarkers, just challenging shootouts with fantastic weapon handling, varied puzzles and endearingly wacky humor. Action fans with PC VR headsets shouldn't miss this crazy trip," writes Jan in his Vertigo 2 PC VR review.

VR studio Archiact lays off many employees

Canadian VR studio Archiact, which was founded in 2013 and has developed titles such as Freediver, Evasion, and most recently Journey to Foundation, is laying off employees across nearly all areas of game development. No reasons were given for the layoffs. Presumably, the studio's last VR game did not have the commercial success it needed. Another venerable VR studio, First Contact Entertainment, shut down in December.

PSVR 2: Still no release date for Phasmophobia, but it could get a visual upgrade

Phasmophobia was scheduled for release on consoles and PSVR 2 in August 2023, and was delayed until next year after an office fire. The studio gave an update on Steam and wrote that they are still working hard on the port - without committing to a date or time frame.

However, the delay should have advantages for the fans: a large number of improvements that are currently being worked on for the PC version will be implemented in the console version right from the start. In addition, the port will contain many optimizations and will therefore run and look better on consoles. Hopefully the same will be true for the PSVR 2 version.
