VR arcade "The Void" could prepare a comeback for 2024
The Verge spotted that The Void has released two new videos on its official YouTube channel, featuring testimonials from past The Void experiences. Could the company make its long-awaited comeback this year?
The VR arcade, which offered experiences based on major IPs such as Star Wars, Ghostbusters and The Avengers, ran into financial difficulties before the pandemic, then fell out with Disney and eventually closed its locations. In 2022, it was announced that the former The Void team had reunited under the name "Hyper Reality Partners," raised $20 million, and was planning a comeback.
Konami considers Yu-Gi-Oh VR spin-off
Konami demoed a VR version of the card game at a celebration of the brand's 25th anniversary. The demo was so well received by the audience that the publisher plans to “continue to develop Yu-Gi-Oh! games with VR and various other technologies”. At the end of the demo, the audience could see a large "To be continued" message.
VR hit Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice arrives on PC VR with 20% off
Fast Travel Games has released the PC VR version of its stealth adventure Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice with a limited-time launch discount of 20%. The game features new settings for texture quality and resolution scale, and also supports the bHaptics haptic vest peripheral. The bhaptics support is now also available on Quest 3, Quest 2, and Quest Pro via an update that also adds Simplified Chinese localization and several bug fixes. An additional patch for the Playstation VR 2 version is forthcoming.
Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station's PSVR 2 debut announced with new gameplay trailer
Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station will be released in a PSVR 2 version in 2024. The colorful comic-style sci-fi VR shooter is currently available on platforms including SteamVR, Quest 3, Quest 2, Quest Pro and Pico 4. According to developer Gamedust, more details on the release of the PSVR 2 version will be revealed in future announcements. There is no exact release date yet.
