The Light Brigade gets new class and world in major update
The roguelike shooter The Light Brigade receives its largest update to date as well as performance improvements on Quest 2 and 3.
Update 3.0 introduces a new playable class: the Shadow Hunter, who fights with bow and arrow as well as throwing knives. To unlock the Shadow Hunter, you must reach level 5 with the Rifleman or level 20 with any class.
Another new feature is the procedurally generated world of Sunless Keep, which can be explored by all classes.
Finally, there are new tarot cards that increase your combat abilities during runs.
Funktronic Labs also promises numerous balance tweaks and bug fixes, as well as "significant performance improvements" on Quest 2 and 3.
You can find The Light Brigade on the Quest Store for Quest 2, 3 and Pro, on the Playstation Store for Playstation VR 2 and on Steam. The game costs $25.
An ever-growing VR game
The Light Brigade was released on February 22, 2023 for all three platforms and has received six updates since then. There was a graphics upgrade and mixed reality mode for Quest 2 and 3 in particular at the end of 2023. According to a roadmap, at least one more major update is due to be released in 2024.
The Light Brigade is a challenging roguelike shooter that combines realistic gunplay and light magic. You will unlock new weapons, classes, and abilities as you progress and become more powerful.
