Stumbling XR pioneer Holoride back on track: realignment and expansion to Asia planned

The recently struggling XR company Holoride repositions itself after successful restructuring and establishes a holding company in Singapore. The core team will remain in Munich. In the future, Holoride will also offer its technology as a license, enabling industrial customers to develop their own applications. Existing partnerships will continue and an enhanced software suite supporting more devices will be released in early 2025. The Singapore headquarters will facilitate access to Asian markets. An office in China is also planned.

Canadian VR studio Archiact is shutting down. In an official statement on LinkedIn, the company announced that it will cease operations after eleven years. Archiact was founded in 2013 and has developed over 35 games. The studio's most notable VR titles are the VR conversion of Doom 3 and the recently released Journey to Foundation. In January, Archiact was forced to announce layoffs in nearly all areas of game development. The closure of Archiact is the second VR studio to close in a short period of time.
