Synth Riders 3.6.7a2 fixes Steam Frame scores that were not showing on leaderboards
Scores set on a Steam Frame in Synth Riders have not been showing up properly on the game's leaderboards, and Kluge Interactive says version 3.6.7a2 fixes that. The patch notes, posted at 02:47 UTC on October 14, carry the line "Scores set on Steam Frame now show correctly on the leaderboards".

Kluge does not say how long that had been going on or how many players it touched. The same patch also clears "flickering white dots on 'The Lost City' stage when Neon Bloom Effect is on", a graphics option the studio brought to the headset six days earlier.
Bloom reached Steam Frame on October 8
Version 3.6.7a1, posted on October 8, turned bloom glow on for Quest and Steam Frame players, covering notes, rails and walls as well as stage lights and neon fixtures. It is controlled in Settings > Advanced Graphics > Neon Bloom Effect and defaults to Low.
Steam Frame work has run through the studio's last three builds. The October 2 patch, 3.6.6a2, "resolved an issue causing the basic gameplay tutorial to crash on Steam Frame Standalone". Other long-running VR games have been through the same exercise: I Expect You To Die 2 and 3 moved to OpenXR and Unity 6 before Valve certified them.
Multiplayer takes most of the patch
Voice chat set to Lobby Only now mutes other players during songs, and "Fade Music for Voice Chat" stops fading players a listener cannot hear. Kluge has also fixed a case where joining a song in progress with Power-Ups enabled could hand a player the wrong multiplier or the wrong Power-Up settings.
Another fix stops some players being dropped back to the room lobby every time the host started a song. The stage panel now closes if a player leaves it open during the song countdown, room panels stop appearing over the song selection menu after leaving a room, and the Score Summary stops stalling when a network connection drops.
Version 3.6.7a1 had reworked the Custom Camera on Steam PC VR, where Smoothing now reaches Off at the bottom of its range, the Camera Angle arrows stopped turning the view the wrong way and the preview matches what the camera captures. Kluge names one cost there: running the Avatar Mirror and the Custom Camera preview at the same time "will affect performance", so it asks players to use the mirror with the camera panel closed. In 3.6.7a2 the camera's rotation and position locks also survive a restart.
Kluge has been patching the game for years
Synth Riders has been collecting music packs and modes since 2019, including the Challenges update that added invisible notes and an Alien Invaders mode.
Synth Riders costs $24.99 in the US on Steam, where Kluge has shipped three builds since October 2, each one carrying Steam Frame fixes.
