FACTS

Stranger Things VR will be released on February 22, 2024 for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro. No conversions are currently planned for Playstation VR 2 or PC VR.

The VR game immerses players in the world of the popular Netflix show from the perspective of the antagonist Vecna. According to developer Tender Claws, you will explore unknown realities, develop a swarm consciousness and plot revenge against Eleven and Hawkins.

As Vecna, you have telekinetic powers to fight enemies and enter characters' dreams and memories. The game also deals with Henry Creel's transformation into Vecna and his influence on the events of the previous seasons.

CONTEXT

After delays, Netflix VR game finally launches

Stranger Things VR was originally announced on July 2022, but was not released as planned and was finally delayed indefinitely in November 2023. Developer Tender Claws has proven in the past that it understands the strengths of the medium and can create surreal VR worlds.

The studio has released Virtual Virtual Reality 1 & 2 and the playable interactive Dalí painting The Under Presents. Incidentally, Stranger Things VR is not the Netflix series' first foray into VR. In 2017, it released a free virtual reality experience for Playstation VR that took you to three locations featured in the series.
