Spin Rhythm XD is coming to PSVR 2 and SteamVR this summer
Spin Rhythm XD will be released this summer for PS4, PS5 and PSVR 2. The Steam version will receive a VR mode via an update.
Spin Rhythm XD, which is already available for Steam and Nintendo Switch, is making its way to Sony's consoles. Studio Super Spin Digital describes the game as follows:
"Spin Rhythm XD is a kinetic rhythm-action game where players move, tap, slide, scratch, and spin to the beat all while traveling through incredible reactive backgrounds. Made by a team of three friends from Australia including the original creators of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, the game’s simple combination of color matching and physical gestures (spinning a wheel) combine to put players in a deep flow state."
The game features more than 60 tracks from artists such as Camellia, Anamanaguchi, Hyper Potions, Haywyre, Lena Raine, 2 Mello, Teminite, Tokyo Machine, Moe Shop, Au5, Meganeko, Akira Complex and many more. Super Spin Digital has also implemented a variety of accessibility features and five difficulty levels.
The PSVR 2 version is optimized for the Sense controllers, which "provide a perfectly smooth motion input that turns the play area into a kind of interdimensional drum kit". Check out the trailer to get an idea of what this looks like in action.
Spin Rhythm XD will be released on July 9 for PS4, PS5 and PSVR 2, and the VR mode for the Steam version will be released on the same day for free.
