PSVR 2 games coming in September 2023
September brings new titles for Playstation VR 2, with the following VR games to look forward to this month.
The following titles are listed chronologically by release date.
After a crash landing, you find yourself on a cloud planet. In search of spare parts for your spaceship, climb, shimmy and swing your way through 9 cloud biomes and 75 levels. Achievements, time trials, modifiers, and a multiplayer mode add challenge and variety.
Toss! will be released on September 7th for Playstation VR 2, Meta Quest and SteamVR.
Pixel Ripped 1995
You travel back to the 16-bit era and take on the role of little David, who does nothing but sit in front of the TV and play on his SNES all day, much to the chagrin of his mother.
But there's more at stake than a mother's mental health: video game villain Cyblin Lord wants to take over the real world again, blurring the lines between video game and reality.
Pixel Ripped 1995 will be released on September 12th and is an enhanced version of the PC VR original from 2020.
The Counter-Strike-inspired tactical shooter will take on the genre's top dog Pavlov this month.
Alvo promises a tactical gaming experience with a variety of modes: from free-for-all to team deathmatch to search and destroy. The difficulty level is said to appeal to beginners and pros alike. In the online multiplayer games, cross-platform 5v5 matches are supported.
Alvo will be released on September 14th.
Behind the Frame
The atmospheric "paint and click adventure" combines puzzles with an emotional story and lets you paint your own VR artwork. If you're looking for a VR experience that takes you away from action and simulation, Behind The Frame VR could be just what you're looking for.
Behind the Frame will be released on September 14th for Playstation VR 2, Meta Quest and SteamVR.
Gazzlers is Mad Max, but cute. On your way to the temple of the machine god, you'll be chased through the desert by hordes of screeching creatures, and you'll have to blast them to kingdom come. As the game progresses, you will collect "scrap" and upgrade your skills. An extensive arsenal of weapons, various modifiers, and roguelite elements should provide constant excitement and variety.
Gazzlers will be released on September 14th for Playstation VR 2, Meta Quest and SteamVR.
Broken is a tactical swordplay game for online duelists. You can choose from different historically inspired classes, each with their own fighting style, such as the Samurai, the Swordsman, the Knight, and the Barbarian.
The game, which is already available on other platforms, has been optimized for PSVR 2 and supports the adaptive triggers of the Sense controllers, haptic feedback and eye tracking.
Broken Edge will be released for Playstation VR 2 on September 19th.
Following its release for Meta Quest and PC VR last year, the fantasy JRPG Ruinsmagus is coming to PSVR 2. The Complete Edition includes the main game, The Warrior and the Tailor DLC, and the Remix Update. Hardware upgrades such as haptic headset feedback, adaptive trigger support, and 3D audio have also been added.
Ruinsmagus: Complete will be released for PSVR 2 on September 19th.
Hellsweeper is a hack and slash game with roguelike elements and promises a variety of weapons and enemies as well as a fast-paced locomotion mix of wall running, power sliding and backflips.
Hellsweeper will be released on September 21st for Playstation VR 2, Meta Quest and SteamVR.
Paper Beast Enhanced Edition
Paper Beast plunges you into a surreal world of deserts, colorful clouds, crystals, and strange paper creatures as you caravan through the wasteland. As you help the creatures, new paths will open up. The game mechanics and puzzles are always unobtrusive and fit naturally into the game world. The physics system, which realistically simulates elements such as sand and water, is also exceptional.
Paper Beast Enhanced Edition is a graphically enhanced version of the PC VR and PSVR 1 original from 2020 and will be released for Playstation VR 2 on September 27th.
