“Every update on this roadmap will be free”: Probably Stolen reveals what comes after its Steam hit

Probably Stolen is getting a new starting profession in December and two larger updates in 2027. The cyberpunk shopkeeping game’s developer says every update on its newly published roadmap will be free.

Questing Goose Studio shared the plans after saying one million shopkeepers had opened the shop. The studio describes its roadmap as a selection of features rather than a complete list, with smaller patches planned between the larger releases.

The game puts players behind a shop counter on a space station, where they buy and sell goods and deal with customers. Its latest update also changes dialogue controls and fixes a Linux fullscreen problem for players using Proton.

A new profession arrives before two larger 2027 updates

The December “Junker Update” lists a new starting profession. The developer has not provided a specific December release day in the roadmap, so players should treat it as a planned window.

Major updates are scheduled for January and April 2027. Both are listed with new items, perks, non-player characters and machines. Questing Goose says those lists are not exhaustive and that it intends to keep supporting the game after the period shown on the roadmap.

For November, the studio says its focus is bug fixes and quality-of-life work while it reviews feedback. It has not presented the roadmap as a paid expansion or a promise that every feature will arrive on a particular day.

The latest patch adds dialogue and inventory options

The 1.0.0.12 update lets players advance a conversation by clicking the dialogue or name bubble, alongside the existing space-bar control. A new option adjusts dialogue bubbles, name tags and reply choices from 50% to 150%.

Another setting, enabled by default, moves bought items into the inventory. Players can also disable two customers inspired by pop-culture characters. The update changes story interactions and fixes several problems, so anyone avoiding spoilers may want to approach the full patch notes carefully.

For Linux players using Proton, the developer lists a fix for a black screen after switching away from the game in fullscreen. A separate display setting is available for players who still encounter it; individual compatibility and performance can vary.
