Max Mustard (October 3, Playstation VR 2)
Max Mustard is a VR platformer that combines classic platform mechanics with VR-specific elements.
Players control Max, an inventor who must find and rescue cute creatures called mudpups and overcome over 40 levels of creative obstacles.
In our Quest review of Max Mustard, we praised the game for its pretty graphics, intuitive controls, and nostalgic charm reminiscent of classic platformers, and particularly Astro Bot Rescue Mission.
The PSVR 2 version features numerous improvements over the older Quest and PC VR versions.
You can preorder Max Mustard now on the Playstation Store.
Just Dance VR: Welcome to Dancity (October 15, Meta Quest)
Just Dance VR is the first VR spin-off of the popular dance game series.
It immerses players in a 360-degree dance experience with 25 songs, including popular hits such as Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now' and Nicki Minaj's 'Starships'. A special feature is the new two-handed scoring system, which tracks the movements of both hands for a more accurate experience.
The game includes a social hub called Dancity, where players can meet, dance and customize their avatars. The game emphasizes social interaction with multiplayer support for up to six players, so you can dance together or hang out in shared virtual spaces.
You can wishlist Just Dance on the Horizon Store.
Arizona Sunshine Remake (October 17, Meta Quest, PSVR 2, PC VR)
The full remake of the 2016 VR classic features greatly improved graphics, as well as new weapons and updated gameplay mechanics. New features include an improved mutilation system that allows zombies to be dismembered in various ways, as well as treasure hunting and resource management for ammunition and consumables as part of the fight for survival.
As in the original, you must fight your way through the zombie-infested Arizona desert. The goal is to find more survivors whose voices can be heard over the radio. Fight hordes of zombies in a post-apocalyptic southwestern USA solo or in co-op with up to three other survivors.
Arizona Sunshine Remake includes DLC and updates from the original, and will be released in a standard and upgrade version for owners of the original. Those who already own the original can upgrade to the remake at a reduced price.
You can preorder Arizona Sunshine Remake on the Horizon Store, Playstation Store and Steam.
Maestro (October 17 for Meta Quest, October 22 for PC VR)
Maestro is a different kind of VR rhythm game: instead of chopping blocks to the beat, you have to perform famous pieces of classical music by conducting a huge orchestra using controllers or your own hands.
The game lets you conduct famous passages from works such as Wagner's Valkyrie, Beethoven's 5th Symphony and Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro. In addition to classical music, you can also choose from modern pieces (electro, jazz, and hip-hop).
You can preorder Maestro on the Horizon Store and wishlist it on Steam.
Starship Troopers: Continuum (October 17 for Meta Quest, October 31 for PSVR 2)
Starship Troopers: Continuum is the first VR game set in the Starship Troopers universe, and takes place 25 years after the events of the film.
As PsyCommander, you command and train your troopers for battle against the Arachnids. You have over 20 weapons and 40 perks to customize your Troopers. The aim is to keep your Troopers alive and let them climb the ranks to get bonuses that make them even more powerful.
Starship Troopers: Continuum is designed for up to three players to co-operate, but can also be played solo.
You can preorder the game on the Horizon Store and Playstation Store.
Batman: Arkham Shadow (October 22, Meta Quest 3 and 3S)
Batman: Arkham Shadow is a VR game developed by Meta, exclusive to Meta Quest 3 and 3S and included free with the purchase of the devices. It is a full-fledged spin-off of the popular Arkham series and is one of the most anticipated VR titles of the year.
The story takes place approximately six months after the events of Arkham Origins and before Arkham Asylum. Playing as a young, confident Batman, you will meet familiar characters such as Harvey Dent and Dr Harleen Quinzel before discovering their darker sides as Two-Face and Harley Quinn.
We had the chance to play Batman: Arkham Shadow at Gamescom and we are convinced that we are in for a real VR hit.
Vendetta Forever (October 24, Meta Quest & PSVR 2)
Vendetta Forever combines fast, tactical gunplay with an acrobatic style and pays homage to classic action cinema.
Visually, the shooter looks like a cross between Pistol Whip and Superhot VR. The new Lo-Kill Motion mechanic allows you to kill enemies in a stream, grab their weapons in mid-air and move smoothly through fast-paced combat sequences.
You can preorder Vendetta Forever on the Horizon Store and Playstation Store.
Triangle Strategy (October 31, Meta Quest)
Triangle Strategy is a VR port of Square Enix's turn-based strategy RPG of the same name, which is already available for Nintendo Switch and PC.
The developers have improved the tactical combat system for the VR version and adapted it to VR controls. On the battlefield, characters can be placed freely in 3D space to adapt your tactics. Your decisions will affect the story and determine which units will ally with you. Important decisions are made by casting votes with the Judgement Scale.
Owners of a Meta Quest 3 or Meta Quest 3S have a special feature to look forward to: Passthrough mode allows the game world to merge with your real-world environment, enhancing your immersion in the game.
You can preorder Triangle Strategy on the Horizon Store.
Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate (October 31 for Meta Quest, PSVR 2, PC VR)
The Fragments of Fate is a remake of the 2022 VR game Wanderer. Players continue the time travel of Asher Neumann and visit different historical moments to fix anomalies in the timeline.
The game features rich historical settings that allow interaction with famous personalities and significant events. It includes puzzles as well as action-oriented gameplay with stealth and platforming elements.
Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate is coming to the Horizon Store, Playstation Store and Steam.
