TactSuit X40 and X16 in detail

Founded in 2015, bHaptics has been developing haptic accessories for VR and other applications ever since. The company's two current flagship products are the TactSuit X40 and X16, two haptic vests that provide haptic effects for virtual reality experiences. The TactSuit X16 has 16 vibration motors distributed across the front and back of the vest, has a battery life of approximately 22 hours, and costs $300.

The TactSuit X40 has 40 vibration motors, a battery life of approximately 18 hours, and costs $500. The TactSuit X40 reaches further down, while the TactSuit X16 is better suited for seated players. TactSuit has a wide range of applications, including VR, PC gaming and music monitoring. At CES 2024, bHaptics announced upcoming PlayStation VR 2 support for TactSuit and introduced the TactGlove DK2.
