Meta's Muse will answer to its own name on AI glasses, and it gets an email address

Meta will let you wake Muse on its AI glasses by saying the name you have given your agent, and Muse is getting an email address of its own. Meta says the glasses feature arrives "in the coming months", and it has put no date on the email address at all.

Both came out of the Connect 2026 keynote on September 23, just over two weeks after Muse launched. Meta is pairing the wake word with vision: Muse "can also act on what you're looking at", it says, so you can ask about a product on a shelf or a flyer on a wall without describing it first.

Meta says you will be able to ask Muse to guide a workout, log meals, book an appointment or check flight prices while you are driving, cooking or out on a run, and that Muse works in the background and checks back when the job is done.

Muse gets an email address and can drive a Mac

The email address belongs to Muse. Meta says the agent can use it to get things done, and that you can use it as another way to reach the agent. No date, and no word on what the address will look like.

Computer use is the part that is live now. With your permission, Muse for Mac can drive any app on the machine, and Meta says it keeps working through the tasks you have lined up after you walk away from the desk.

The Mac app itself is not new: Meta shipped it on September 19, without computer use.

Meta is changing how Muse sounds, too. It says you can hold a long conversation while Muse works in the background, and design the voice by describing what you want, whether that is faster, slower or a specific accent. Meta Superintelligence Labs also showed Muse Realtime Avatar, which it describes as embodiment technology that turns Muse Realtime Voice into interactive avatars. There is no release date for it.

Ten more shops, plus Shop Pay and PayPal

Muse is picking up 10 retail connectors. Walmart, Best Buy, Sephora, Ulta and Wayfair are five of them, and Gap, Michael Kors, Fanatics, American Eagle Outfitters and DICK'S Sporting Goods are the other five. Shop Pay and PayPal arrive with them as payment options.

Expedia is coming soon for travel and Instacart covers groceries. For work, Meta names Notion, Granola, GitHub and Box. Muse launched with access to the whole Shopify catalogue, and Meta says more partners are on the way.

One large retailer is going the other way. Amazon blocked Muse from shopping on its store on September 22, citing its conditions of use.

Meta AI is still on the Gen 3 glasses

Meta still describes Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) as having "an action button for quicker access to Meta AI and other features". It has not said whether Muse replaces Meta AI on the glasses, runs beside it, or reaches only some models, and it has not named which glasses are getting Muse.

Muse can be reached in its own app, on WhatsApp, on the web and on the Mac. The glasses are the one surface Meta has named without dating.
