Save $30 on the HyperX Cloud III: a wired gaming headset for PC and consoles drops to $69.99 ahead of Black Friday
Best Buy has dropped the black HyperX Cloud III wired gaming headset to $69.99 in an early holiday deal, saving $30 against its displayed $99.99 comparable value. The offer arrives ahead of Black Friday, and the retailer lists it as a Holiday Deal.
The discount is on model 727A8AA, a wired headset with a detachable microphone and connections for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Best Buy showed the new headset sold by Best Buy, with shipping available when checked; availability can vary by location.
It is a practical option if you want one headset to move between a gaming PC and a console without managing a wireless battery. Its cable is also the tradeoff: buyers who want to move around the room without a wire should consider a wireless model instead.

The Cloud III connects through 3.5mm or USB
The Cloud III has a 3.5mm headset cable, plus a USB-C audio dongle and USB-A adapter. That gives it more flexibility than a headset tied to a single USB connection, although the right connection depends on the device and its available port.
HyperX lists angled 53mm drivers and a detachable boom mic with a mute indicator. The earcup controls let you adjust volume and mute the microphone without opening a game menu. HyperX's specification sheet lists the headset cable at 1.2 metres and the USB dongle cable at 1.3 metres.
The headset also comes with DTS Headphone:X spatial audio support for PC. Check the software and device requirements if that feature matters to you; a virtual surround effect is not the same thing as a set of physical surround speakers.

The offer covers the all-black wired Cloud III, not the wireless version or every colourway. HyperX lists memory-foam ear cushions and a metal frame, but fit and comfort will still depend on the wearer.
