Dungeons of Eternity keeps its stormy new realm and lets VR teammates rescue each other

Dungeons of Eternity players can now rescue fallen teammates and trade weapons between runs, thanks to an update that also makes the stormy Stormgrave realm a permanent part of the VR co-op game.

The Monster Mash update adds new enemies and chambers alongside the co-op changes. Its seasonal rewards have a deadline, but developer Othergate says Stormgrave itself is here to stay.

That gives players on Quest and PC VR a reason to return after Halloween, whether they want another dungeon to explore or a less awkward way to sort potions before heading out with friends.

Stormgrave gains its own chambers and a vampire miniboss

Othergate says Stormgrave has its own chambers and music, with rain and lightning setting the mood. A vampire miniboss is among the new enemies waiting inside.

The update also introduces Deadwood Forest rooms filled with bare trees, graves and tombs. Additional Keep chambers add more gothic spaces to the dungeon layouts.

Other new threats include a mummy that can curse explorers in the Sandstorm realm, and a pumpkin-headed skeleton that chases players before exploding into smaller bombs. These additions are part of the update rather than the separate paid cosmetics pack.

Teammates can trade weapons and pull each other from pits

The co-op improvements are useful even when nobody is hunting vampires. Players can exchange weapons and gold in the outpost's vendor area, giving a group another way to share equipment between dungeon runs.

Fall into a pit during co-op and a teammate can now pull you back up. A new teleporter links the vendor and crypt areas of the outpost, reducing the walk between them.

Othergate has also reorganised the inventory, added weapon sorting and introduced a potion chest. The studio says it has improved stabbing and made further weapon and stability changes.

The realm stays, but seasonal rewards have an end date

Returning Halloween items are available until November 15, 2026. Players also receive a one-, two- or three-year trophy in their room according to how long they have played.

There is an optional Halloween Cosmetics Bundle with character decorations and colour options. It is separate from the gameplay changes, so players do not need the cosmetic pack for the new realm and co-op features.

Dungeons of Eternity is available on Meta Quest and Steam for PC VR. Othergate's update notes do not give an end date for Stormgrave because the realm is now a permanent addition.
