Apple Vision Pro: Second episode of Prehistoric Planet Immersive now available
The second episode of Apple Immersive's Prehistoric Planet Immersive video documentary series, directed by Jon Favreau, has been released. The five-minute episode, “Triceratops Forest,” follows a family of triceratops through a dense forest when they are attacked by a horde of raptors. The series is based on Favreau's existing Apple TV+ television series Prehistoric Planet, but is not narrated by David Attenborough. Apple Immersive Video features 180-degree video in 8K resolution, stereoscopic 3D and surround sound and is available exclusively through the Apple TV+ service on Apple Vision Pro. Episode 1, “Pterosaur Beach,” has been available since the headset's launch.
Apple Vision Pro: Game Room now with Checkers and new personas
Resolution Games released another major update for the Apple Arcade title Game Room. The game collection is one of the first room games developed for Apple Vision Pro and features cross-play for iPhone and iPad. It includes seven of the most popular board and card games, and now includes the board game Checkers and new Personas. As part of an Apple Arcade subscription, the game is available on Apple Vision Pro as well as iPhone and iPad.
Project Demigod gets bigger and more monstrous: The "Giant Enemies" update is here
The first free update for the VR superhero simulator Project Demigod has been released by Omnifarious Studios and Fast Travel Games. The Giant Enemies update introduces two giant monsters, the Insect Queen and the Giant Mech, which you can fight on selected maps. Also included are improved combat, new enemy models, bug fixes, and other enhancements. To celebrate the update, Project Demigod is currently on sale on Meta Quest, with a Steam promotion planned for next week. The VR game is available for Meta Quest 2, Quest 3 and Quest Pro as well as for PC VR via Steam.
Sugar Mess: Sweet VR fun is coming to Playstation VR 2
Sugar Mess — Let's Play Jolly Battle will be released for PSVR 2 in May 2024. The developers will release a demo this month. The PS5 version will include all previous levels, enemy types, and game scenarios from the VR shooter released last year for Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro, and Pico. Sugar Mess expands JollyCo's Jolly Battle universe into virtual reality for the first time. The family-friendly game takes you to the fairy tale sugar kingdom. There you have to fight the invasion of a cake army with sweet weapons. More content with new levels, enemies, and game scenarios will follow later this year. Puzzles, rhythm games, stage performances and journeys through the kingdom round out the shooter.
