Meta Quest: VR hit studio announces mix of Pistol Whip and Superhot VR
Publisher nDreams announced the new VR action game Vendetta Forever, developed by MeatSpace Interactive, at the first VR Games Showcase. The title will be released in October 2024 for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro as well as Playstation VR 2. A demo is currently available for Meta Quest. Vendetta Forever combines fast, tactical gunplay with an acrobatic style and pays homage to classic action cinema. Visually, the shooter looks like a cross between Pistol Whip and Superhot VR. The new "lo-kill motion" mechanic is designed to allow you to kill enemies in a stream, grab their weapons in mid-air, and move smoothly through fast-paced combat sequences.
Band Space wants to become the Guitar Hero of virtual reality
Fast Travel Games and Smartmelon Games announce the VR music and rhythm game "Band Space". The VR game, reminiscent of classics such as Guitar Hero World Tour or Rock Band, is set to be released as a full version for Meta Quest and Steam in fall 2024. A demo is already playable via App Lab on Meta Quest. As in the role models, but without plastic instruments, you can play guitar, drums, bass, or keyboard — either solo or with up to 3 friends online in VR or mixed reality. Band Space will offer songs from various genres at launch and will expand the track list in the future. You can also find new songs via the Mod.io integration, or create your own tracks with the BandSpace beatmap editor.
