The ingenious mixed reality app Pencil is coming soon to Meta Quest 3
The drawing app Pencil is set to launch in Meta's App Lab for Quest 3 in the coming weeks. The app promises step-by-step instructions for learning to draw in mixed reality. A Quest 3 controller is used as a weight and tracking aid to overlay instructions onto a physical paper on which you draw with a conventional pencil. Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom is set to bring mini-battles in Mixed Reality to your living room
Bandai Namco Filmworks and Atlas V's upcoming VR anime movie, Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom, will include mixed reality features. The Quest release will allow users to engage in mini-battles in their living spaces using mobile suits from the main story and exclusive designs. The movie launches on Meta Quest in fall 2024. Shoko Nakagawa will perform the theme song "Across The World," set for digital release on July 3. Nakagawa will also appear at a Gundam panel during Anime Expo 2024 on July 5, where more Silver Phantom details will be revealed.
