Playstation VR 2: Sony announces 8 VR games - starting in October
Sony has announced new releases for the Playstation VR 2. Among them is a brand-new sci-fi shooter that sends you through different dimensions.
While all eyes were on the Meta Connect 2023 this week, Sony was preparing some announcements for the Playstation VR 2. On the Playstation blog, a bunch of new and already known VR games were unveiled that will soon be released for PSVR 2. A previously unannounced title called Heroes of Forever is also among the announcements.

Paper Beast Enhanced Edition
Pixel Reef presents Paper Beast Enhanced Edition, a revamped version of the VR game originally released for PSVR in 2020. New features include dynamic textures, atmospheric lighting, and expanded sandbox options.
Players can now immerse themselves in 4K environments with sharper textures and realistic sand and water effects. The game also now offers smooth locomotion thanks to the power of the PS5. Paper Beast Enhanced Edition is available now for PSVR 2.
Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs.
Resolution Games is bringing Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs to Playstation VR 2. Owners of the PSVR version can upgrade for $10. The game will be released for PSVR 2 on October 10, 2023.
Journey to Foundation
Sony already showed Journey to Foundation at a State of Play earlier this year.
Now there's a new trailer and a release date. The narrative VR action adventure will be released on October 26, 2023, for PSVR 2.
Based on the novels of Isaac Asimov, Journey to Foundation takes players on an epic journey across the galaxy. You play as Agent Ward, equipped with special mental abilities to recognize and manipulate emotions.
One of the ways you use these abilities is through your line of sight, which is tracked by the PSVR 2's eye tracking, and you can expect gunplay, climbing, puzzles, and freedom of choice in the story sections.
The Foglands
The Foglands was also announced without a date so far. The atmospheric rogue-lite game will be released just in time for Halloween on October 31, 2023, for PSVR 2.

A giant worm-like creature threatens the survival of a mysterious world called “The Hold”. You take on the role of Jim, a Runner who supplies the inhabitants with collected goods and fights the creatures of the fog.
Thanks to the help of a mysterious Stranger, you'll gain supernatural abilities. Throughout the game, you'll explore ever-changing worlds, fight monsters with melee and firearms, and collect valuable items to ensure the survival of the Hold.
Tiger Blade
Tiger Blade is an intense arcade action experience set in the neo-Korean city of Sewoon. Scheduled for release on PSVR 2 on November 17, 2023, the game focuses on fast-paced and dynamic melee combat combined with gunplay.
Tin Hearts
Tin Hearts, developed by Rogue Sun, is a narrative puzzle adventure that takes you into the life of Victorian toy maker Albert Butterworth.
You play as Albert and solve lemming-like puzzles with little tin soldiers in the Butterworth's home.
Originally released for PSVR, Tin Hearts has been completely redesigned for PSVR 2. A free demo of the VR game will be released on October 17, 2023, featuring six of the 50+ levels.
The full PSVR 2 update will be released around the holiday season.
Heroes of Forever
Shooter fans can look forward to a wild, dimensional ride with all the charm of the classic shooters of the 90s.
In Heroes of Forever, you play as an agent of the Time Enforcement Command and travel through dimensions to combat chaotic changes in space and time.
You'll have to dodge enemy fire and tactically use the environment to achieve high scores.
Up to four players can go head-to-head in co-op mode. The fast-paced first-person arcade shooter is coming to PSVR 2 next year.
Among Us VR
The popular multiplayer game Among Us VR is coming to PlayStation VR 2 soon, but the exact date is yet to be announced.
The game, which was ported to VR by Schell Games, is currently available for Quest 2 and PC VR. The PSVR 2 version will cost $9.99.
