Quest 2 with touch control
You can now control Quest 2's holo-menus just like you use a smartphone: by touching. The Quest v50 update also brings several other new features, including 2D app multitasking in games and moving around VR worlds using hand gestures. A future update may bring universal real-time captioning.

Sony announces more PSVR 2 games
In addition to all the VR games already announced, Sony will release five new and previously (mostly) unknown VR games on PSVR 2 this year. The launch of the headset also saw the release of the VR update for Resident Evil Village (review) and an improved No Man's Sky VR mode.
Development on Resident Evil 4 VR is underway, and the announcement of a "VR mode" sounds like the entire game will be in virtual reality. Previously there was only talk of "VR content".

Quest 2 goes to China
According to a report, Meta has asked Tencent for help to launch Quest in China. It's still a rumor, but the strategy is familiar: Meta's Oculus Go headset also launched in China, this time via Xiaomi. Tencent is also said to have dissolved its hardware division for XR devices.
GPT-4 could get some competition from Aleph Alpha
Benchmarks from German AI startup Aleph Alpha show that its latest AI models can keep up with OpenAI's GPT-3. With its 300-billion-parameter "Luminous World" model scheduled for release later this year, Aleph Alpha could even rival GPT-4 and become a major player in the global market.
