VR no longer required: Alien Rogue Incursion lands on PS5 and PC this September

Survios takes Alien: Rogue Incursion beyond VR with an “Evolved Edition” for PlayStation 5 and PC.
20th Century Games and Survios announced today that the once VR-only Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One is getting an “Evolved Edition,” set to launch for Playstation 5 and PC via Steam on September 30, 2025.
Survios is promising “even deadlier Xenomorphs” and upgraded visuals for this new edition. The standard version will retail for $29.99, with a Digital Deluxe Edition available for $39.99. More details on what’s new and improved are expected in the coming months.
Inside Alien: Rogue Incursion
In Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One, you step into the boots of renegade colonial marine Zula Hendricks, tracking down a former comrade on the planet Purdan (LV-354). Things go sideways fast: after a sudden attack, Zula and her synthetic partner Davis 01 find themselves stranded inside the abandoned “Castor’s Cradle” research facility, operated by Gemini Exoplanet Solutions.
Armed with franchise staples like the Pulse Rifle and Motion Detector, you’ll make your way through Xenomorph-infested corridors, searching for clues—and quickly learn that danger can be hiding anywhere. Along the way, you’ll collect vital supplies, piece together the stories of the facility’s former residents, and start to unravel the catastrophe that happened here.
Strong atmosphere, but repetitive gameplay
The VR original for Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One launched in December 2024 for Playstation VR 2, PC VR via Steam, and later on Meta Quest 3/3S. The Quest version, though, struggled at launch — pushing the hardware limits of the Quest 3 and delivering lackluster resolution, so we advised against it.
The other VR platforms fared much better. On Metacritic, the game earned a 74 average score for PSVR2 and a 78 for PC VR, with critics calling out the immersive atmosphere and strong visuals. The main complaints: a lack of gameplay variety and an abrupt ending.
