This famous German EDM club is partying in VR
Three well-known EDM artists provide a virtual clubbing experience in the digital replica of the german cult club Bootshaus. You can pe part of it!
After the successful virtual reality events of the last few years, the Cologne cult club Bootshaus is now hosting an XR event for the first time. In cooperation with Spinning' Records, the organizers are setting up a digital EDM party that can be accessed via any platform. Internationally known DJs deliver the finest EDM straight into your virtual home.
Bootshaus XR: Digital electro event for every platform
Bootshaus XR's Spinnin' Records Night will take place on January 30, 2022, starting at 7 p.m. (CET) in the digital replica of the Cologne electro club. As in previous Bootshaus VR events, PC users can also enter the club in virtual reality with various VR headsets.
If you are using the standalone Meta Quest 1 or 2 you can connect to the PC via Oculus Link by cable or via Air Link wirelessly. If you want to join the party online, you can do so without a VR headset for the first time. You can also access the digital Bootshaus via common web browsers on PC, laptop, smartphone, or tablet.
Participation is free of charge. Register on the Bootshaus XR website as soon as the event starts. Then create an avatar via the "Ready Player Me" platform and stroll through the club's fully digitally recreated main area, interact with other party guests or simply dance.
This is what you can expect at the Bootshaus-XR-Event
The first big Bootshaus-XR-Event is the result of a cooperation with the record label Spinnin' Records. During the three-hour event, internationally renowned electro artists will perform. The Dutch EDM duo Blasterjaxx, consisting of Tom Jongkind and Idir Makhlaf, will kick things off.
Afterward, the sought-after Spanish up-and-coming artist Danny Ávila will provide punchy sounds, combining genres such as techno, big room, tech house, and trap. Finally, bass house maestro SLVR takes to the digital stage to deliver his signature "Booshi" sound.
Bootshaus XR: NFT special and digital expansion planned
In addition to the music, there will also be an exclusive NFT special, created with American artist James Haunt, which will be available on the NFT marketplace OpenSea.
Bootshaus XR wants to further expand its pioneering role for online club events in the metaverse. In the near future, in addition to the main floor, all other interior areas of the Bootshaus will be digitally recreated. Visitors can look forward to two more freely walkable floors.
