FACTS

The VR version of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter will be removed from Steam on Friday. This was announced by developer studio The Astronauts in an update on the PC gaming platform. The studio is no longer able to support the VR version. It cannot guarantee that the game will remain compatible with future VR headsets and operating systems. The VR DLC will therefore be removed from sale. However, the standard PC version will still be available.

The good news: Nothing will change for owners of the VR version. As long as the game is compatible with your hardware, you can continue to use it. However, if you don't own the VR version of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and want to give it a try, you'd better hurry. The price is just under $10.
