Quest 3 is coming - and it will be affordable
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed that a "next-generation Quest," likely the Meta Quest 3, will be released later this year. The new VR headset will incorporate many of the "improvements and new technologies" developed since the Quest 2, while still being "accessible to many people," according to Zuckerberg.
PSVR 2 coming to retail
Until now, Sony's Playstation VR 2 could only be ordered directly from Sony. That's about to change: The VR headset is coming to brick-and-mortar retailers. It is not clear from Sony's announcement what the situation is with alternative online retailers like Amazon. It is also unknown which retailers will actually sell the PSVR 2 in the future and when the VR headset will be available locally.
Apple Reality Pro in the final stages?
According to a report in Taiwan's Economic Daily News, Apple's supply chain is in the final stages of preparing for mass production. The report refers to a final push to finalize assembly techniques and procedures. According to the report, mass production will begin toward the end of the second quarter, which began April 1, and continue into the third quarter.
