FACTS

Developer 3R Games recently released a free introductory chapter to the VR game Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro. Thief Simulator VR: Prologue is available on Meta's early access platform App Lab. You take on the role of a petty criminal who escapes from prison and goes to work as a burglar for the Lombari family in the Greenview Street neighborhood.

CONTEXT

Be a thief without consequences

Originally released on SteamVR in 2019, Thief Simulator VR teaches you the basics of burglary in a fun way. The focus is not only on the burglary itself, but also on exploration and planning, which are essential for a successful thief. You will gather information about the residents, observe their daily routines, and identify possible items to steal.

After the heist, you must hack electronics to disable GPS trackers, erase serial numbers, and reset devices before selling them online or at a pawnshop. Successful heists will increase your budget and allow you to purchase high-tech equipment to bypass alarms, cut glass and steal cars from garages.
