FACTS

The biggest update yet for Population: One is called Phoenix Royale and will be released on June 6, 2024. You will be able to experience all the new content in advance as part of a preview weekend. More on that in a moment.

The update introduces the brand-new Phoenix Royale map with exclusive gameplay features, such as automatic redeploys. If you die, you can rejoin your team and get right back into the action. Also exclusive to this new map are:

  • Phoenix Royale Supply Crates, which are scattered throughout the map and contain weapons, health items, and Gem Bars (the new Phoenix Royale-exclusive currency).
  • Phoenix Buy Stations, where you can use the Gem Bars to purchase items, weapon upgrades, and class enhancements.
  • Loot Vaults, which are well-guarded and contain special crates with high-level weapons and lots of Gem Bars.

The update also introduces a new sprint mechanic for all modes and maps in the game.
