Meta Quest: VR music studio brings new immersive concerts to virtual reality
PulseJet Studios releases its app in the Meta Horizon Store, promising immersive concert experiences in virtual reality.
San Francisco-based VR music studio PulseJet Studios has released its PulseJet VR app in the Meta Horizon Store for Meta Quest headsets. According to the company, the app allows users to experience virtual concerts and music festivals in virtual reality.
PulseJet offers nearly two dozen different experiences at launch. The latest content was produced in collaboration with Visual Drip Productions and features up-and-coming EDM producer Launchpad Infinity.
PulseJet Studios has also announced the release of remastered VR experiences from Björk's album "Vulnicua" in 2025.
The app is available for free and contains a selection of free content. Additional content can be purchased via in-app purchases. Earlier this year, PulseJet Studios released performances by EDM artists such as Nicky Genesis and Father Taj from the Joshua Tree Music Festival for Meta Quest.
First Vision Pro, then Meta Quest
PulseJet was released for Apple's Vision Pro on the App Store in October 2024, before the Meta Quest version followed. According to the studio, it uses a combination of advanced immersive video technology and computer graphics to create fully immersive environments.
The PulsJet app is not alone in the market for immersive concert experiences. For example, Soundscape recently released a free VR concert by EDM artist Deadmau5 on YouTube.
Concert platform AmazeVR has been in the business for a while, making a splash in 2022 with US rapper Megan Thee Stallion's Enter Thee Hottieverse VR concert. This was followed in 2024 by the Looking Inside VR concert by American metal band Avenged Sevenfold, among others.
