'Iso' is a new relaxing puzzle game for Quest that is completely free

Iso is a casual puzzle game that supports hand tracking and passthrough. I've tried it on my Quest 3.

Iso is reminiscent of the Quest classic Cubism and clearly inspired by its timelessly beautiful design, but explores a different gameplay principle.

Instead of assembling 3D puzzle pieces into predefined shapes, you have to place the colored pieces on a platform in such a way that they match patterns in different perspectives. The trailer illustrates this simple gameplay principle, which is very challenging in practice, as I found out in a short hands-on with the app.

Iso can be played with your hands and if you activate Meta Quest's lying down mode, you can even puzzle on your back. Passthrough is optional.

Iso was released for free in the App Lab yesterday. It is an early alpha version with 15 hand-crafted levels. More will follow soon. The game already works well, I only had problems with the menu buttons when using the hand tracking.

I became aware of the game through Reddit, where the developer promotes Iso. "I have a full-time job as a software engineer. This was [made] just in my spare time and on weekends. I have some prior experience with Unity and Quest, but never released a real game", says the developer.

You can download Iso from the App Lab. Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro are supported.
