The Division 2 sets a date for PC and console crossplay, but PC leaderboards reset first

The Division 2 will let PC, PlayStation and Xbox players play together from November 17, Ubisoft says. But PC players will move to new servers a week earlier, and their leaderboards will reset as part of the transition.

The rollout begins on November 3 with interface changes and crossplay icons, although those indicators do not mean cross-platform play is active yet. The shared feature switches on only after console players join the new servers on November 17.

Crossplay will be enabled by default once it launches, according to Ubisoft. Players who do not want it can turn it off from the character selection screen. Leaderboards will be temporarily hidden across platforms until the feature goes live.

Three dates matter for the server move

Ubisoft's November 2 update separates the transition into three steps:

  • November 3: Crossplay icons and interface changes appear, but players cannot yet play across platforms.
  • November 10: PC players move to the new servers and PC leaderboards reset. Cross-platform matches are still unavailable.
  • November 17: PlayStation and Xbox players join the new servers, and crossplay goes live across all three platforms.

That staging is worth keeping in mind if you are planning to play with friends on another platform. Seeing a new icon in the menus on November 3 is not the same as being able to invite a console player to a PC session that day.

Clans get bigger, with some data left behind

The update also doubles the clan member limit from 50 to 100. A clan moves automatically when its first member joins the new crossplay servers, and places for members who have not moved yet are currently planned to remain reserved for three months from that point.

Ubisoft says a returning member can still rejoin after a reservation expires if space remains. If someone other than the clan leader moves first, that person becomes a temporary leader; the original leader can regain the role while their reservation is active. Expired reservations can change that outcome.

Not everything travels to the new servers. Clan messages, invitations, join requests and clan caches will not carry over. If a clan name is already taken, Ubisoft says a number identifying the original platform will be added to it.

The same update notes cover Conflict scoreboard changes and a new Master difficulty for the Climax Mission. Ubisoft says its Echoes of Central Park DLC launches on November 3, with a separate full breakdown to follow.
