Beat Saber gets two exclusive features on Meta Quest 3
Beat Saber gets four new free tracks with OST 6 and the Quest 3 version now optionally runs at 120 Hertz instead of 90 Hertz.
All four songs were composed exclusively for Beat Saber and a fifth track will follow shortly.
Here's the full tracklist:
- Lindsey Stirling - "Heavy Weight"
- Far Out - "Lift Off"
- DragonForce - "Power of the Saber Blade"
- Camellia - "Tempo-Katana"
It is the first time that Lindsey Stirling and Dragon Force have provided music for the game.
“I’ve seen people make videos playing to versions of my songs in the past, and I’ve always thought it was so fun, cool, and rhythmic,” says Lindsey Stirling. “I think it’s amazing now that I finally have a song that I wrote specifically for Beat Saber. I’m so excited to see how people play the game with a song that I wrote specifically for them!”
The last two tracks on the list are the fastest ever released for Beat Saber, with some of them exceeding ten notes per second. So don't forget to warm up first.
Beat Saber now runs at 120 Hz on Quest 3
To get access to the new songs, you need to update Beat Saber to the latest version. With OST 6, Beat Saber now comes with 50 free songs.
The Quest 3 version of the VR game gets two exclusive new features with the update. First, you can now choose between 90 and 120 hertz for a smoother gaming experience. Second, the obstacles have been retextured to look nicer and more realistic. A new environment is also included and is available on all versions of the game that receive the update.
Beat Saber is available for Quest 1 & 2, Quest 3 and Quest Pro, Playstation VR 1, Playstation VR 2 and SteamVR-compatible headsets. The last premium Music Pack brought ten songs by the Rolling Stones including four singles from their brand new album Hackney Diamonds.
