VR blockbuster Alien: Rogue Incursion will be released in December on Quest 3, PSVR 2 & PC VR

VR studio Survios presented gameplay footage from the upcoming Alien: Rogue Incursion at this year's Comic Con. The trailer provides insights into the plot and gameplay of the horror-action game.
According to the trailer, the protagonist is much more capable of defending herself than in the last major installment in the series, Alien: Isolation. According to Survios, you take on the role of Zula Hendricks, a former soldier who goes on a hunt for Xenomorphs on a remote mining colony to rescue her lost comrade.
Alien: Rogue Incursion — mix of horror and action
The Survios team promises an intense and nerve-wracking gaming experience in virtual reality. According to the developers, the Xenomorphs act unpredictably, cleverly exploit the environment and attack from all directions. Quick reflexes and a cool head are required to survive the cruel attacks.
In addition to iconic weapons such as the pulse rifle or shotgun, a motion tracker can also be used to scan the surroundings for dangers. However, fighting the aliens is not always the best solution. Creativity and ingenuity are often required to escape dicey situations.
Alien: Rogue Incursion will be released for Meta Quest 3, Playstation VR 2 and PC VR via Steam at the end of 2024. The VR game is being developed on the basis of Unreal Engine 5 and, according to Survios, will be the studio's most ambitious project to date.
Mobile version: Quest 3 as the lead platform
As confirmed by Survios, Alien: Rogue Incursion will not be released for the older generation of Quest headsets, Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro. This makes it one of the first major VR titles to be developed exclusively for Quest 3.
In addition to Alien: Rogue Incursion, Meta's VR studio Camouflaj and IO Interactive recently announced two major Quest 3 exclusive titles, Batman: Arkham Shadow and Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded. Meta is also rumored to be planning to release a more affordable Quest 3S later this year to replace Quest 2.
