Action-packed VR game Monkey Doo is coming to Quest 3 & PC VR

This is no VR game for couch potatoes: In Monkey Doo for Quest & PC-VR, you swing through the jungle by waving your arms and hands.

On March 14th, 2024 the VR game Monkey Doo will be officially released for PC VR via Steam and on the Meta Quest Store for Meta Quest 3, Quest 2, and Quest Pro. As a monkey hero, you swing through jungle landscapes, search for hidden bananas or customize your monkey avatar. You can also compete against friends in PvP battles or try your hand together in co-op mode.

Since its launch on Meta's early access platform App Lab, Monkey Doo has been downloaded over 800,000 times. It currently has more than 1,600 reviews, with an average rating of four out of five stars. The upcoming full version will feature improved graphics and performance, new maps and modes, and expanded customization options.

The adventure was developed by Clique Games in cooperation with ContinuumXR. The studios promise more content updates after launch and plan to expand the game's lore.

Acrobatic VR games

Monkey Doo dispenses convenient teleportation controls in favor of physical activity. The VR game thus follows in the tradition of earlier titles like Climbey or Sprint Vector, in which arms and hands are primarily responsible for locomotion in VR. A VR game that comes very close to Monkey Doo is Toss. In this acrobatic adventure developed by Agera Games, you crash-land on a cloud planet and have to find spare parts for your wrecked spaceship. You climb, shimmy and swing your way through 75 levels. Toss is also available in the Quest Store and on Steam, as well as in the PS Store for Playstation VR 2 since September 2023.
