Meta Quest: Zen Studios is bringing its million-selling pinball simulation into Virtual Reality

Indiana Jones, Star Trek and more: Zen Studios finally brings the popular pinball tables to virtual reality with Pinball FX VR.
Pinball FX VR launches April 3rd for all current Meta Quest headsets, including the Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest 2. The base game comes with three tables — Sky Pirates: Treasures of the Clouds, Pinball Noir, and Curse of the Mummy — for $9.99.
Players can also purchase additional classic Williams tables individually, including fan favorites like Indiana Jones, The Addams Family, World Cup Soccer, Twilight Zone, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. More tables featuring Battlestar Galactica, Knight Rider, and Xena will be released after launch.
Mixed reality, campaign mode and mini-games
- In addition to the VR view, you can also place the tables in your physical environment using mixed reality.
- In a global campaign, you have to master unique missions to unlock rewards.
- In addition to local challenges, there is also a regular pinball mode with online leaderboards.
- In addition to the pinball tables, there are mini-games, dartboards, vending machines and other activities.
A legacy of digital pinball
Zen Studios has established itself as a leader in digital pinball since 2007, attracting over 12 million players with games like Zen Pinball and the Pinball FX series. The studio has created both original tables and licensed content from major franchises including Marvel, Star Wars, and Jurassic Park. In 2023, they launched two free-to-play titles — Pinball FX and Pinball M — with regular downloadable content.
The virtual pinball landscape is expanding beyond Zen Studios' offering. Velan Studios is developing Bounce Arcade, a first-person VR pinball game for Meta Quest. Additionally, the PinStation controller aims to enhance the experience with force feedback for more realistic pinball gameplay.
