FACTS

In February, Nvidia is celebrating the fifth anniversary of GeForce NOW since its official launch. The cloud gaming service now has over 20 million users worldwide and offers you access to more than 2,000 games.

You stream your games via a global network of low-latency gaming servers, which are currently equipped with RTX 4080 systems. An upgrade to RTX 5080 is still pending.

In recent years, there has also been controversy surrounding the service, such as the introduction of advertising during waiting times and a 100-hour game time limit  — not only for free but also for paid memberships.

These games await you in February

You can play these new games via GeForce NOW to mark the anniversary:

CONTEXT

GeForce NOW also available in VR

You can now also use the streaming service on Meta Quest 3 and 3S, Pico 4 (Ultra) and Apple Vision Pro. You will need a good internet connection (at least 35 Mbps for QHD resolution) and an Xbox Wireless Gamepad.

The maximum resolution of 2560×1440 pixels ensures an appealing image quality on VR headsets such as Meta Quest 3. A particular advantage: you can enlarge the virtual screen as much as you like and place it in the room or on the ceiling.

In our test, the latency was completely sufficient for single-player games. However, switching between the gamepad and VR controller is still a little awkward.
