Netflix offers numerous great science fiction films. These six sci-fi gems were produced by Netflix itself.

Netflix has become one of the most popular video-on-demand providers in the world with its in-house productions and originals. In addition to a whole range of sci-fi classics, Netflix also offers some self-produced genre gems. We bring you the six best science fiction Netflix originals.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch

Four years ago, Netflix released Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, not a new but rarely used form of entertainment: an interactive film. In Bandersnatch, viewers can decide where the plot is going by pressing the remote control. According to Netflix, this can extend the total running time to up to five hours.

In the early eighties, the young game programmer Stefan adapts a science fiction novel as a video game. In the game, players must traverse a corridor system and make decisions to prevent them from falling victim to the creature Pax.

The game publisher Tuckersoft offers Stefan a deal and he meets his developer idol Colin Ritman. A first choice is made, which decisively influences the progress of the film and Stefan's fate.
