Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses: New limited edition coming this month
Meta and Ray-Ban are launching a new limited edition of their smart glasses this month. The edition is limited to only 3,600 units. Similar to the previous limited edition (see header image), the new glasses will have transparent frames that reveal the technology inside. Details on the exact design are not yet known, and the price has not yet been announced. At $429, the previous Limited Edition cost about $100 more than the standard version. Due to the even smaller number of units, the price could be higher this time around.
Meta rolls out AI features for Ray-Ban Smart Glasses in first European countries
Meta is rolling out the first AI features for Ray-Ban | Meta Smart Glasses in select European countries. The AI assistant Meta AI is now available in France, Italy, Ireland, and Spain. Users can communicate with Meta AI via voice command and receive answers to general questions. The service now also works in French, Italian, and Spanish, but the visual AI analysis of landmarks remains limited to the USA, Australia, and Canada for now. This is due to the stricter EU data protection regulations such as GDPR and AI Act.
