Silent Slayer could be a scary but fun VR puzzle game for Quest 3

Sharpen your stakes! In a deep dive trailer, developer Schell Games shows gameplay from the upcoming VR horror game Silent Slayer for Meta Quest headsets.

Schell Games has released an extended gameplay trailer for Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire during the Ruff Talk VR 2024 Showcase. The trailer shows the dark environment in a castle, various tools to disarm traps on the vampire coffins and some of the vampires you have to take out in your sleep. The developers comment on the gameplay and give viewers more insight into the atmosphere, mechanics and other aspects of the game.

According to Schell Games, Silent Slayer is a single-player VR horror game in which you must kill powerful vampires. You can only do this by carefully opening their coffins and disarming their traps with the help of an ancient, mystical book. Scary jumpscares are designed to add to the excitement.

Your movements are constantly monitored by a small puppet that serves as an alarm system. If you move too fast or not carefully enough, it will wake up the vampire, who will welcome you as a midnight snack.

Silent Slayer will be released later this year for Quest 2, Quest Pro and Quest 3, but no release date has been announced yet.

Developer Schell Games is known for creating challenging puzzles that are perfectly suited for Virtual Reality. With the I Expect You To Die series, the studio created a fun puzzle game trilogy that takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the world of classic spy movies.

Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire was announced last November for Quest headsets. But it is quite possible that the game will be available for PC VR at a later date. I Expect You To Die 3 was also initially released for Meta Quest last year, and the SteamVR version followed shortly after.
