PSVR 2: Tactical VR shooter Breachers is just around the corner

The Playstation VR 2 is getting a new tactical shooter inspired by Rainbow Six Siege and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Developed by Triangle Factory, Breachers is a competitive VR shooter that features tactical 5-on-5 multiplayer battles reminiscent of genre greats like Rainbow Six Siege and CS: GO. After the release for PC VR, Pico 4 and Meta Quest 2 in April, the release for Playstation VR 2 will follow next month.

Competitive shooter with great reviews

In Breachers, you are part of a five-man special forces unit storming a lab complex. Meanwhile, the enemy team takes care of the defense with mines, motion detectors, and other tech-gadgets.

In the Quest Store, Breachers currently has almost a full five stars with over 2,500 reviews. The shooter has also been well received on SteamVR, with 856 reviews and a very positive rating. Users of the Playstation VR 2 will be able to give their verdict starting in November. The exact release date has not yet been announced.

Graphical improvements for the PSVR 2 version

For the PSVR 2, the VR game will receive a graphical update and support the adaptive triggers of the Sense-Controllers. It is still unclear whether the haptic feedback of the VR headset and eye tracking will also be integrated into the gaming experience.

With cross-play support, you can look forward to a wide variety of companions. If you play on PSVR 2, you can fight with and against Meta Quest, Pico, or PC VR users.

You can also look forward to ongoing expansions. Triangle Factory has already delivered two major updates since its release, which will also be included in the PSVR 2 version. Recently, the developers added new content such as an additional map and tweaked the balance.
