Panasonic sells off Shiftall, which produces ultra-light VR headsets
Panasonic has sold its Shiftall subsidiary to a Tokyo-based company called Creek & River, Brad Lynch reports via Twitter. The products, services, and warranties are not expected to change and the Meganex Superlight will still be released later this year. The compact VR headset was announced at CES 2024. It features pancake lenses and an OLED microdisplay with a resolution of 2,560 x 2,560 pixels per eye. It is said to weigh about 200 grams.
