Meta Quest 3S: These Quest 3 accessories are compatible with the new VR headset
We have summarized for you which Quest 3 accessories are compatible with the Meta Quest 3S and which add-ons are available exclusively for the new standalone headset.
Meta has announced details of compatible accessories for the recently announced Meta Quest 3S. The VR headset is compatible with some, but not all, official Meta Quest 3 accessories.
Supported accessories include the Elite Strap with and without battery, the Carrying Case and Compact Carrying Case, the Link Cable, and the Active Straps for the Touch Plus Controllers. The Quest 3's charging dock is not compatible with Quest 3S. Meta is launching a new compact charging dock that is cheaper and supports Quest 3 as well as Quest 3S.
There is a new Breathable Facial Interface exclusively for the Meta Quest 3S, recommended for motion-intensive VR games and intense VR workouts.
The Touch Plus Controllers, the USB-C charging cable with angled connector and the Zenni prescription lens inserts are also available for both the Meta Quest 3S and Meta Quest 3.
Meta Focuses on Compatibility and Expandability
With compatibility with selected Quest 3 accessories, Meta clearly wants to ensure that Meta Quest 3S users have access to a wide range of add-ons.
The accessories are priced within the usual range: The Elite Strap costs $70, with the battery at $130. The Carrying Cases are $50 (compact) and $70. The Breathable Facial Interface is at $40, the Compact Charging Dock is $60, and the Activity Straps are $40.
The Meta Quest 3S will be available on October 15. Accessories can be pre-ordered now and will be delivered together with the headset. You can find the link to the overview below the article.
