Avenged Sevenfold VR concert brings metal to Quest 3 & Vision Pro
Experience the first rock concert in the AmazeVR Concerts app with Looking Inside by the American metal band Avenged Sevenfold.
The American metal band Avenged Sevenfold has released “Looking Inside”, a 26-minute VR concert experience in collaboration with AmazeVR and Warner Records. You will experience an exclusive live performance of the band embedded with visual effects in a changing virtual environment. Avenged Sevenfold perform some of their most popular hits, as well as new fan favorites from their latest album, “Life is But a Dream...”.
“Being able to combine the best aspects of what a live show and technology offers is what excites us the most about our VR concert, and what we’ve created with the two is pretty compelling” says Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows. The AmazeVR app is available for Apple Vision Pro as well as Meta Quest 3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro in Meta's App Lab and already includes several concerts from different artists.
Looking Inside is not the first VR metal concert
Virtual reality concerts offer an innovative way to experience the music of your favorite artists in a whole new way. Companies like AmazeVR have worked with various artists to produce immersive concerts. In November 2023, they released a Mixed Reality concert for Meta Quest 3 with rapper T-Pain.
Looking Inside marks the first time AmazeVR has collaborated with a band like Avenged Sevenfold to bring the rock genre to the AmazeVR Concerts app. NextVR has also broadcast concerts by metal bands Killswitch Engage and Anthrax in VR, giving viewers a variety of perspectives, including premium front-row seats and right on stage with the musicians. In Germany, two artists are producing immersive VR concerts with regional rock bands, available on YouTube and other platforms.
