Meta Quest: ImmerGallery gets multiplayer support
ImmerGallery now offers a multiplayer mode for up to four users. Simply create a private room and invite your friends. You can then view shared galleries together. This feature is still in alpha testing.
The latest update 1.2.5. also brings a number of other improvements. A link to the release notes can be found in the source code.
Godot Engine's Meta Quest and OpenXR support is set to improve soon
Meta announces a strategic partnership with W4 Games. The goal is to improve OpenXR support and make it easier for developers to create Quest games using the Godot engine. The project is expected to be completed by July 2024.
With this initiative, Meta aims to create a viable alternative to Unity and Unreal Engine. The company has already invested in the open source engine in 2021.
